Online retailer Amazon announced Monday that it is expanding its offerings and moving into the world of social gaming. The company has launched a Facebook game, Living Classics.
The company has been working on Living Classics for a while, but it finally opened the game up to play on Monday. The new development team ? Amazon Game Studios ? plans to roll out more games on the Facebook platform in the future.
Amazon explained why it?s getting into the social game market:
Why is Amazon making social games, you ask? Good question! We know that many Amazon customers enjoy playing games ? including free-to-play social games ? and thanks to Amazon?s know-how, we believe we can deliver a great, accessible gaming experience that gamers and our customers can play any time
Living Classics takes users inside their favorite stories, such as Alice in Wonderland, The Wizard of Oz, and King Arthur.
