Rolls-Royce wins $1bn Singapore Airlines contract (AFP)

LONDON (AFP) ? British company Rolls-Royce said on Wednesday it had won a contract to supply and maintain Trent engines for Singapore Airlines' Airbus planes worth $1 billion (694 million euros).

"Rolls-Royce, the global power systems company, has won a $1 billion order from Singapore Airlines to supply Trent 700 engines to power 15 Airbus A330 aircraft, along with TotalCare services support," a statement said.
